Groom's Room at Kay Chapel Is A Wedding Day Man Cave
Finally, a space designed specifically for the groom. Hotel Viking created a Groom’s Room just for grooms and their entourage while they wait for the big moment.
Crafted as a comfortable lounge located in the hotel’s on-site non-ecumenical chapel, the Groom’s Room is a wedding-day man cave outfitted with comfortable seating, a 55-inch flat-screen television, XBOX with over 15 games and wireless controllers; a poker set and playing cards; and an indoor putting green. Groomsmen can pre-order snacks and stock the mini-fridge and bar with the groom’s favorite beverages. It’s a private hangout where the groom and his wedding entourage can kick back while they await the bride’s arrival.
In a unique twist on the traditional Bride's Suite, just for the guys, the Groom's Room is a great space designed specifically for the groom. Grooms and their friends can use the space as a chill-out zone, for group photos or for full-on gaming as a way to relax before saying their vows.
Dating to 1869, Kay Chapel is a historic Newport landmark. After it was officially closed in the 1970s, Hotel Viking purchased and restored the non-ecumenical chapel. Today, it’s one of Newport’s most unique private settings for intimate weddings.
Located adjacent to Hotel Viking at One Bellevue Avenue in Newport, R.I., Kay Chapel accommodates in excess of 200 guests. For information, contact Hotel Viking’s catering sales managers at 401-847-3300.
