NEWPORT, RI (August 9, 2007) – Continuing its ongoing mission to provide new, unique spa products and offerings, SpaTerre at Hotel Viking has just started carrying SUNDĀRI, a collection of Ayurvedic-inspired luxury skin care products created by Ayla Hussain, Cavan Mahony and Christy Turlington. All three have contributed their own specific expertise and passion for holistic skincare and Ayurvedic methodology – the ancient Indian science of balancing mind, body and spirit to lead to peace, harmony and lasting beauty.
SpaTerre now offers new spa experiences using age-old Ayurvedic rituals and these new pure botanicals products, including:
- Journey to the Himalayas – A mind and body experience that begins with SpaTerre’s signature foot cleansing ritual to ground and balance the mind; followed by an Indian-inspired scalp massage to stimulate creativity and energize the mind. The treatment concludes with an invigorating Abhyanga (Sanskrit for holistic) whole body oil massage. 80 minutes, $185
- Passage to India – A sacred combination of traditional practices accompanies this sojourn of deep peace and spiritual awakening. Beginning with an herbal cleansing foot ritual to purify and ground, bringing the recipient back to Mother Earth, the ritual then progresses to an energizing ancient Indian massage, body envelopment and bath. - Abhyanga Massage – This therapeutic massage blends traditional Ayurvedic and European techniques. Literally translates to “oil massage” and is rhythmical and deeply relaxing, employing hot oil to move the “prana” or life force to stimulate the body’s vital energy. 50 minutes, $130
- Gotu Kola & Oat Firming Body Envelopment – A skin-firming body treatment incorporating the botanical benefits of gotu kola (an herb) and advanced skin-tightening peptides to tone, lift and rejuvenate the entire body. 50 minutes, $135
- Gotu Kola Firming Facial– Age-defying, designed to lift, firm and rejuvenate. Fortified with new generation peptides and traditional herbs giving a kickstart to the cell renewal process, instantly lifting and firming slackened tissue.
